The History of The Collective
December, 2024
The Collective was founded in December of 2024.
The Collective was born of a feeling.
a return to the essence of being human.
dance is the rhythm of this moving world. dance is an expression of gratitude for the divine. when we align through dance we create spaciousness for the purest expression of ourselves.
here, our hearts come to be nourished.
dance is a gift that allows us to transcend the realm of words. it has a magical quality about it, tenderly opening our hearts and supporting blossoming connections.
At its essence, the dance is a collaborative co-creation.
and so it goes that every Saturday,
the dance calls to the hearts of those who need to boogie,
and come they do. each of us magnetized by dance.
the incredible gift of multi-generational gatherings,
rooted in their energy,
for they hold time with the wisdom that it speaks,
and the fertility of the future with its bountiful seeds.
the potency of dance as a teacher,
of the tender elegance with which she flows,
of the reflection of change, as a force to be synchronized with,
of the importance of tending to our internal ground, and as a direct correlation, the land that is around us.

The community garden welcomes all! If you’d like to plant, steward and create in this space, please reach out to Ophir at KEDC.hawaii@gmail.com.
